February: Wrong Ideas!

2nd of February 2004

Hello to everyone

This month I would like to share with some wrong ideas that some people have about money. Many people are defeated by their WRONG THOUGHTS. It is not the national economy that is the problem. It is not the boss that is the problem. The problem resides in a person's thoughts. If they think wrong, they are going to act wrong and experience failure in life.

This is why Jesus said :“ you will know the TRUTH,and the TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE ”.
If a person thinks that God wants us to have poverty, sickness, defeats, this person is thinking wrong, indeed, this is not the will of God.
When one knows the truth, the Word of God, one knows that in fact God wishes precisely the opposite. God wants to bless us, to make us prosperous in all areas of our lives. In this way the Truth fill free a person from misery, poverty, illness, failure, etc.
Some people say: “ Yes, but the Bible says that money is the root of all evil ?!!!! ” No, the Bible does not say that money is the root of all evil. That Bible says, in fact, that THE LOVE OF MONEY is the root of all evil.
I Tim. 6:10 “ for the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows ”.
The "Love" of money is what is the root of all evil. If a person has money and riches, they can end by being lost on bad paths, and suffer many pains. Other people say: “ Yes but doesn't the Bible say that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God ?!!!!”
YES, of course the Bible says this. BUT the Bible does not say that it is difficult for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God BECAUSE HE HAS RICHES, but because he has CONFIDENCE IN HIS WEALTH and not in God.
Mark 10:23-25 “ Then Jesus, looked around and said to his disciples: How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God.”
And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, “: Children, how hard it is FOR THOSE WHO TRUST IN RICHES to enter the kingdom of God ”.
It is difficult for the rich to enter into the Kingdom of God because most of them " TRUST " their wealth and not God. Most of the rich don't tie anything to God.
If God was against riches, Jesus would not promise blessings 100 times over (in this lifetime), to anyone who leaves their father, mother, children, etc, FOR THE LOVE of Jesus and the Gospel. Mark 10:29-30
Somebody might say:“ But then is it not true that we must give grace to God for everything ?!!!! ” NO. Jesus said: “ Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and give to God what is God's ”.
Attribute to God what comes from God, and attribute to the devil what comes from the devil. God can only give good things, and the devil can only give bad things.
John 10:10 “ the thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they might have life, and that they might have it MORE ABUNDANTLY ”.
Life in abundance is not to have illnesses, to be poor, to have failures in life, etc... Life in abundance is to have health, to be prosperous, to have success in life. Jesus came in order to give us life in abundance.
Poverty is a curse: it is not a blessing. Some people think wrongly that poverty is a sign of HUMILITY. But poverty is not a sign of humility. Jesus taught us to pray like this:
Matthew 6:9-10 “ Our Father in heaven..... Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven ... ” Does God have poverty there in heaven? NO!
Humility is a person who does the will of God without MUTTERING. Jesus was very humble, yet he always had all his needs supplied. Indeed so much so, that he was able to go through life giving other bread, money, etc...

Right, we'll end there,

God bless you
Apostle Jorge Tadeu
