STUDIES: The Ministry of Businessmen

God wishes to raise up, to separate men and business-orientated women, to acquire wealth , and to bring it to His house. In the same way that God uses those that believe in Him to preach His Word and heal the sick, he also wants to use businesspeople to expand his kingdom.

On the surface it appears that that it is easy to assume this responsibility. But, a Businessman who wishes to serve God in this area has to understand that this is an area that satan watches closely. He is very interested in who has the wealth that exists in the world, that they should continue to remain in the hands of those that he controls, and will do everything to ensure that it remains this way.

This world is motivated by money, and so the devil is always going to fight to keep control of this area. He will try with the cares of this world, he will try to make as if occupies the management of the goods that have been entrusted to you. He will try to do it through greed, the insatiable desire for more money. But, God wants servants who deeply desire to be vehicles to take the wealth of the world and to bring it to His house, to expand His Word, using money not to construct their own kingdom, but God´s.

Isaiah 60:11 “Therefore your gates shall be open continually; They shall not be shut day or night, That men may bring you the wealth of the Gentiles And their kings in procession.”.

God wants to place in our hands the wealth that is spread throughout the Nations, in the companies of the world outside.
Isaiah 61:5-7 “Strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the foreigner shall be your ploughmen and your vine-dressers. But you shall be named the Priests of the Lord, men shall call you the Servants of our God. You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory you shall boast. Instead of your shame you shall have double honour, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs.”.

The plan of God for Businessmen is that your business is successful, with faithful people that are accountable, and that you have double the profit of that of a similar business, in order that you have time and money that you can dedicate to the kingdom of God.

There exists a paradox with this question of money. God is only going to use you in relation to getting more and more money if you learn not to give value to it. The amount of money that God entrusts in your hands depends on the humility and unfastening that you develop. The less you place on the value of money, the less your are personally motivated by money, the more God is going to place in your hands, with the goal of constructing the Kingdom of God.
1 Timothy 6:10 “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greed and pierced themselves through with many sorrow”.

It is very dangerous for a businessman to search for riches without having the fear of the Lord in his heart. Furthermore, we have to be vigilant in order to never stray and be struck by covertness and greed.
Proverbs 1:19 “So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain; It takes away the life of it's owners”.

The more we learn to humble ourselves to God, to be satisfied with what we have, and become less attached to money, the more God will use us to win millions of souls for Jesus Christ.
