Focus on Students

Having spoken to some students from both the Bible School and the School of Ministry we learnt that according to Miguel Moutinho, a second year student of the School of Ministry:

“it is not difficult to conciliate studies with everything else if you are determined, the 1st year is the biggest test, a test of integrity and faithfulness” and he adds that “to leave work or school and then go to Bible School on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays is a very hard test”

In reference to the atmosphere Miguel says: “it is impeccable; a person does not feel good there only because they do not feel good within themselves.”
His plans for the future: “as yet I am not very sure” but adds that “the best thing that I can do is to put into practice what I have learnt” and concludes that: “there are things that I learnt in Bible School and when I put them into practice in a Home Group they really worked”.

There are many opinions and according to another student: “ it is very difficult to conciliate the studies with your personal life and work, but it is well worth the effort, we have to have a receptive heart in order to learn”. More than just a good atmosphere, bonds of friendship are created that last a lifetime. When someone goes through Bible School their life is never the same again. Knowledge acquired, trials and tribulations endured, hearts conquered and a great joy in saying "one more year that I passed”, a long wait that ends with the result of all goals reached.

If you have not yet been to Bible School it is well worth trying. But life is more than this, there is a multitude outside who are waiting to be saved and it is our responsibility to do this work.
