Attempt to kill a Pastor of Mana Christian Church, due to religious persecution

We received the following news from São Tomé:

Beloved, we know that the Book of the Acts of Apostles continues to be written. This week was marked by some great happenings. On one hand, once again it was confirmed how we really are irritating the devil; on the other hand, we were alerted that we are involved in an ambiance where we are disgusted by the devil.

Glory to God!

Our Pastor ministering in Ripeira Peixe - Emolve, was heavily wounded by a machete, by somebody who is against the presence of Mana Church in this region.

Never before has a Church won so much people for Jesus here, and the local witches are very upset seeing the Gospel preached to all, and many being healed by the power of Jesus.

The event took place at 17.30h, when our Pastor entered this region on his motorbike and was assaulted by this individual, who waited him hidden, with no other goal than to kill. It took until 20.00h when first medical care was given, back in the city.

The Cuban surgeon, who is not a believer, said to me: “Pastor, God really exists. Because how is it possible that this man has survived until now?”

His neck was cut so deep, that the doctor could not believe his Hb was still at the level of 13, even after massive blood loss.

God is great!!

The skull was in view due the head wound; it was terrifying. The nurses run off, having no courage to face the horror.

After surgical intervention we could do no more than wait the recovering of our Pastor, believing it would be fast.

Here in São Tomé we are in need of strong intercession. If you are praying, I tell you it is not enough: we need more intercession. The fight is more open then ever before.

I include in this report what happens for instance in our main Church. Only this Sunday we had 5 witches opposing our worship.

The authorities are dealing with this matter. I phoned the national police commander to say I would participate in finding and apprehending this criminal, to make it faster. He immediately asked me not do this. Then I asked them to let me know as soon as they had locked him up, as for which I am still waiting.
