Christianity Divided From the year 394 AD great changes happened in the body of Christ and in traditional Christianity. It is precisely at this time that the catholic church separated itself from the original Christian Church, this date is marked by the institution of the mass. About 40 years later worship of the Virgin Mary was established, in the XIII century the reading of the sacred book was banned and this created a religion parallel to true Christianity, which was at its height when three centuries later Martinho Lutero, at the age of 18 discovered a Latin Bible in the library of the university he was studying at. There are 95 thesis in which he protested the deviations of the church, and here the Protestant movement was born. Portugal so far has been deeply involved with the worship of Virgin Mary, you only need to go to Fátima to see for yourself. Preaching the Gospel in the north, was always going to be difficult with the religious weight that is typical of the north, but the truth is that things have turned through 180º and tradition already is not what it was. |

“but now we are seeing, time after time, salvations,
miracles and the church growing, and this really
livens up my heart”, explains Pastor Guerreiro,
Associate Supervisor of this region. Portugal
a peaceful country, always has been a place
of refuge for some, a holiday destination for
others, but little more. In ten years, “little Lusitano (Portugal)” has managed to change, the President of the USA, gives us credit for the peace that we have managed to obtain and keep in out national territory and that the world one day will follow our example. The church prays, that things will not take too long, but the fruits, whether sooner or later, are always shown. Never has the Bible been spoken about so openly as now. If Portugal is to change “we have to join the same road and bless the nation, bless the people, marriages, families, businessmen, to bless other colleagues that are of the world, those that do not know Jesus, we are here to bless others, to bring the life of Jesus to people, to marriages, to the youth, to families” affirms the supervisor in a pastor's meeting. Along the same lines, “our brothers” Spain, say that Portugal is not very important economically in the European Union, but spiritually we are the motor of Europe. |

Pastor
Guerreiro affirms that they have to “motivate
the church of the North concerning evangelism,
we have to go out to the world, and to where
the people are” and underlines that “the mass
salvations that occurred in the early church
did not happen inside the church that they had
begun, they were always outside in the street”.
Another point of extreme relevance is the "relationship
between us and other churches, evangelical churches,
catholic, etc.” concludes Pastor Guerreiro.
We are living in an era of Globalization, |

in which borders are being abolished, in which we can have knowledge of everything that happens outside, through the free circulation of information, and in which the church performs, or should perform, the important task of the unification of the Body of Christ. Mana Church intends to develop ties with other churches, not only with Baptists and Evangelists but with all those that preach the Resurrected Christ, and affirm, without restrictions or taboos that Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life, and who have the common goal, the salvation of the world. In Acts 1:8 God gave us virtue, to reach out to cities, to reach out to nations, and to the ends of the earth”. |
