Missionaries depart for Mozambique

Journey to Maputo

Friday 8th of February at 17.45h, another group of missionaries left Johannesburg and made their way to Maputo. This group departed with the bus, full of expectations and counting the hours to arrive in Mozambique.
All the way, the Lord was present. He was in charge of everything.
Carlos remembered a dream God gave him, while seeing the landscape during the trip. Emotionally he tells: "One and a half year ago, God gave me a dream, and in this dream I was in a desolate place like this we are passing now. That moment I did not understand, and I did not give it too much importance, but now I know that God showed me the first place where He sent me to tell about Him and to bring others to salvation. The Lord is tremendous !!!"
The trip was wonderful! We could feel all the time the care of God for our lives. We took several pictures, including of the border, unaware of the fact it was forbidden. But the strong hand of the Lord set us free and we were not set in prison, nor were our cameras taken.

Team of Khongoloti

On the 7th of February, the team for Khongoloti left for Mozambique. One part went with the bus, the others by car. All were anxious to arrive and start the work.
The trip in the bus was pleasant, in spite of the heat. This group arrived at Maputo around 15h and was heartily received by the Mozambican brothers of Manna Church.
The others that came by car were hold up by a broken tire and spent the night in a camping place, accompanied by Pastor Queiros and Ricardo Tadeu, who drove the cars with the caravans, future residencies of the missionaries.
This group arrived at the Administration in Maputo in the morning, and joined the others; then went to the temporary base at the Church of Alto Mae, where they spent several days, until the base of Khongoloti would be ready to receive them.
While waiting, the missionaries put their hand to the plow, winning about 500 souls for Jesus.
Missionary Itamar Cavalcanti, expressed what they all felt: "We only reap what others have been sawing in work and prayer."
The same way missionary Vanessa Delfino declared: "The people are very thirsty and our time here was too short for the desire they have to hear the Word. Praise God we return to this place."
Also during these days, the missionaries had the opportunity to assist several meetings in the Church of Alto Mae, and Sunday the 10th they were ministered by Pastor Queiros in a very blessed service, were they had joy and they danced with the Mozambican brothers in a great move of the Lord.

This feeling was put in words by missionary Luciene França: "It was wonderful to see this people sincerely worship the Lord with a heart full of praise."
Then finally, the 12th they left for their definitive base in Khongoloti.
The trip was short and filled with expectations. Some adversity, like the caravans slipping, didn't take away the good cheer and overcoming these obstacles they arrived joyfully in Khongoloti.
The rest of the day they spent mounting the caravans and tents, adapting to their new homes.

Team of Maxixe

On the 7th of February, a new journey starts for the missionaries to Maxixe. They left Johannesburg at 6.30h in the morning for Maputo, Mozambique. The trip was a blessing, calm and with beautiful landscapes. Missionaries Jery Regina e Cristina Coelho evangelized 3 persons in the bus and right there these people confessed the name of Jesus. It was really a great blessing, we passed the border in all tranquility and arrived at 16.00h Maputo. At night we had a service in the Church of Alto Mae and it was marvelous.

Team of Beira

After a short stop in Maputo - Mozambique, the Brazilian missionaries followed their final destination: Beira.
The departure was February 14th at 12.30h and the arrival in Beira on the 16th at 2 o' clock in the morning.
The missionaries were impressed by the landscapes and the very hospital reception of the Mozambicans at every stop.
At all stops they made to eat, fill the tanks and even make repairs, there was a mighty move of the Holy Spirit of God and the missionaries spoke about the '4 things God wants you to know', in other words: the plan of salvation and many received Jesus as their Savior and Lord in their lives.

"What impressed me during the trip was the care He had for us, we feel His strong presence every moment" - Missionary Andrea de Souza.

"We overcame all obstacles of the journey and this gave us force to continue, the presence of the Lord was great." - Missionary Luis Pimenta.
