Distribution of food, clothes and toys |
| 8th of December 2001, Mana Christian Church distributed food, clothes and toys in Boksburg, in the neighborhood called Angelo, thus supplying a different Christmas for the inhabitants. |
| Because of the existence of many Mozambicans here, since May this same year a work has been started in this region, and with the help of the Church, the brethren have constructed a temple and made a fence around the place. |

The work has grown much, for the whole Church proved to hear and practice the Word of God, executing Mark 16:15, and like in the days of the Acts of Apostles, the Holy Spirit joined more and more salvations to the congregation. These Mozambicans have a warm heart for Jesus, they are eager to learn all about Him, and want to overcome in life.
When we arrived in the beginning they looked to us with high expectation, and they wanted to know us to see what we could mean to them. We taught them the Word of GOD, showed them the love of Jesus in our hearts, and worked hard. We applied all that we learnt in Church through our Apostle Jorge Tadeu. Now they love us have a deep confidence in us, and when we make an appeal for help, they are always ready for any cooperation. |

I remember the first time I preached on the offering, while the tears came in my eyes. I took up an offering amongst people that live in such great need (they are hungry, have no place to sleep and fight for a sandwich), but I had to preach the Word. I reminded myself of the lessons of our Apostle in which he taught of the first times he went to Angola, and how those people are overcoming their hardships, because our Apostle gave them the Word. |

Jesus confirmed His own Word in Boksburg, too! Now, after 7 months, most of them have jobs, and their lives are changing (set free from drinking, happy marriages, more freedom for the wives, children attending school and works of occultism are broken) They start serving the Lord. |

We now have a Praise Group and 2 Home Groups. More than half of the Church does the Courses. I already told them that in the near future we will have Mozambican Pastors (they like that idea!) Me and my family, we all work for it. My teenagers Bruno and Marrian
take care of the children, and we are all occupied; we also have two Angolan
workers with us, and they have been of great help, giving all effort.
This way we went to Boksburg, Alexander, we evangelized in Malvern and
we plan to go to Tembisa (all places with lots of Mozambicans) |

But let us relate about December the 8th. It was a great party for us all; guests we invited to go with us were radiant about the love these people have for Jesus and how they become rooted in our Church (they have songs in Shangane, their native language, in which they express their love for our Church) |
|
That day many cried of joy when they saw the bags with groceries, clothes and shoes; children jumping of happiness when they saw the toys, balls and puppets. Some sisters worked since early morning to prepare food, and after the Meeting, where the Holy Spirit operated by setting people free and touching the hearts of others to render themselves to Jesus, there was a joint lunch and a fantastic fellowship, as seen on the pictures. |

My friends, it is worth to serve God, for He opens ways. Certain day Jesus said that He was hungry and they gave Him to eat, and his disciples were amazed. Master, when did this happen, and HE answered: when you helped these small ones in Boksburg ... |

This all was possible because God is our source and touched the hearts of us all: businessmen in South Africa contributed with good offerings, and likewise the appeal to all our Churches in Pretoria, Rosettenville, Troyeville and Sandton was answered positively.
And Jesus says: thank you, thank you ... |
